The East Coast "Chuffer"

The East Coast "Chuffer" is a multi-distance, off-road running event in Scarborough, starting and finishing in Peasholm Park before joining the historic Cinder Track. The route follows the former railway line and features coastal outlooks, woodland stretches, and heritage railway character. All race options use the same trail corridor, with shorter categories set on defined out-and-back sections and longer categories completed via repeatable loops. Underfoot conditions are firm trail, supporting straightforward navigation along a clearly established path. The event showcases a distinctive coastal route while maintaining simple logistics and a consistent, supportive experience for participants.
